Description
The sewing center started creating masks early in the coronavirus pandemic. Everyone who goes to the market in Lomé needs to wear a mask. The sewing center is a hub for the community, where many people come to have their clothes made, tailored, or fixed. Many people also come simply to be known and loved.
Thanks to SEED donors, this sewing center recently expanded their capacities to help train girls who have finished their ICCM-sponsored schools. They are learning to sew and helping others in the sewing center make these masks.
These masks are about 6 3/4″ x 4″, and the pleats help them expand to 6″. The ear loops are 10″ from where they connect to the top and bottom of the mask. There is about a 1″ variation in these masks. Come with nose bridge pieces for extra comfort.
These masks are version 2.0. We are constantly working with Couture la Grâce de Dieu to improve these masks. If your mask doesn’t work well for you, just email us at orders@seedlivelihood.org and we will replace it with a new one.
