The sewing center started creating masks early in the coronavirus pandemic. This has been especially helpful because everyone who goes to the market in Lomé needs to wear a mask. The sewing center is a hub for the community, where many people come to have their clothes made, tailored, or fixed. Many people also come simply to be known and loved.
Thanks to SEED donors, this sewing center recently expanded their capacities to help train girls who have finished their ICCM-sponsored schools. Helping make these masks are part of their training to learn how to sew.
If your mask doesn’t work well for you, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will replace it with a new one right away.
