You can buy an original oil painting by Reaksmei micro-enterprise network in Cambodia. These artists put themselves through school and are now reaching out to communities with joy and love and light.
Reaksmei (“enlighten” in Khmer) is a network of artisans making, and training others to make, handicrafts. Wives of pastors and church planters in Cambodia began creating the skirts and purses, and that group has grown by way of sewing classes taught to the neighborhood women. Artisans trained in watercolors are able to pursue educational opportunities that would never have been afforded them without Reaksmei.
